Dr. M. O. Omidiji
CHAIRMAN
Dr. M. O. Omidiji is the current Chairman of the Company Board of Directors. He is a seasoned Plant Breeder who has worked in the Institute of Agricultural Research and Training of Obafemi Awolowo University, and retired in 1994 as Principal Research Fellow. He joined the services of Premier Seed Nigeria Limited in October, 1994 as Director (Research and Production), and later became the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of the Company in 2004 and served in this capacity till 2013.
He is a joint Researcher in the development of our proprietary lines, including Quality Protein Maize (QPM) Hybrids, released in Nigeria by a Private Seed Company, in the history of Agricultural Research in the Country, having many scholarly publications to his credit.
For his experience as a Board member and pivotal role in the Company, he was appointed as the Chairman of the Company Board of Directors in 2013.
Professor Abraham Oyediji Ogungbile
MANAGING DIRECTOR A world renowned Professor of Agricultural Economics, Professor Abraham Oyediji Ogungbile who having served in various capacities in Ahmadu Bello University, including the Directorate of Institute of Agric Research (IAR) for thirty five years, retired in 2007 to join the service of the Premier Seed Nigeria Limited as Director (Technical and Commercial) and later became the Managing Director / Chief Executive Officer of the Company in the year 2013.
Dr. Ibitoye Oyewale (FCA)
DIRECTOR OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION Ibitoye Oyewale, holds a Bachelors degree in Accounting from the University of Ado Ekiti, and a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. He is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria and Institute of Chartered Economics of Nigeria respectively. He worked with the IAR & T, Institute of Agricultural Research and Training Ibadan, before joining the Premier Seed Nigeria Limited in 2009 as an Internal Auditor. Mr. Ibitoye has over decade years of experience spanning across Internal Control and Audit, Finance and Financial Control, Operation and Business Management. In July, 2014 he was appointed as the Financial Controller of the Company, and later appointed Director Finance and Administration in 2017, a position he occupies till date.
Dr. Samson .O. Afolabi
RESEARCH MANAGER AND BREEDER
An erudite plant Breeder with several achievement which include the release of climate resilient hybrid maize varieties and crop, .Samson Afolabi is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University where he obtained Bsc Botany, Msc Pharmacognosy and Drug development, Msc Plant breeding and Phd Plant breeding.He holds many professional certifications and has attended seminars and workshop both locally and internationally.
He is the Research Manager of Premier Seed.
